Start with the piers, not only the island
Ask the seller for the pier, check-in point and map link. Confirm where a road transfer actually ends and whether any walk or vehicle change is required. With separate providers, share each connection’s meeting time with the responsible operator.
Keep the terms in writing
Confirm both directions, baggage limits, children’s arrangements, equipment and what the price includes. Keep a travel-day contact and the terms for cancelled or missed departures. “Transfer included” needs an exact pickup and drop-off scope.
Match diving to your experience
Tell the dive operator your certification level and recent experience. Ask about supervision, language, equipment, departure point and grouping. Photographs and dive counts alone do not establish that an itinerary suits you.
Leave space around the return
Check the activity-specific guidance from your provider before arranging a flight or long-distance connection. Keep a mainland alternative for important departures. Carry your booking details and assistance contacts, and follow crew and agency instructions.
